Damn straight Rachel. Living by accident is not always a flash experience. This issue of chunking time has caused me problems in my recovery process. Life is the journey not the destination for me. I have a tendency to think of those who break their day/week/year up into bite size chunks that they can face because the reality of life continuing until it ends seems too much to take as weak Only 2 days to the weekend, 6 weeks to easter etc. all these milestones to pass. Are we there yet? This lacks compassion and understanding so I try to utilise mindfulness to develop compassion.
ReplyDeleteBut then there is the idea of goal setting and celebrating achievements/milestones etc. which is very important for success. Trying to find the appropriate and relevant balance between the two is quite tricky.
Thanks for another interesting post…
Cheers
